As if I needed another reason to keep me up late at night... my office remodel turned out to be fantasic way for me to creae even more and has me looking at light in ways I never had before. I'm beyond exicted about a new year and new projects. As Robert Emmitt from Community Bible would say...to stay curious as God intends you to! Completely intrigued by natural light and the results that come with it!

Case of the Mondays FREEBIE

It's not often that we have a day full of drizzle in our small Texas town which left me and my two cabin feverish toddler boys not quite ready for the Monday ahead. We are well into the holiday rush here and rushing along with you!

:: a few exciting updates ::

Modern Bebe's Dr. Seuss inspired party was linked on the Facebook of Project Nursery last week as well as our latest party display of a Big Top Carnival as one of the top three in the running for top project of the month on ProjectNursery.com... I wish I had a moment to keep up as this all became news to me much later than when the events took place, thank goodness for good friends to keep me straight!


Today, as I needed a little more of a boost than my K-cup could offer, I received some fantastic news that just made me float. One of our summer projects is mentioned on Caden Lane's blog! The shower was completely inspired by Katy' Mamari's Boutique Bedding collection, the beautiful design was such fun to work with and I am just in awe to be any part of being recognized by her. I have admired the owner of Caden Lane bedding and local Nursery Couture Boutique for quite sometime, being a stay at home mom initially I would search deals to get as many items from her shop as I could to design around my little strapping boys! I will never forget the moment that Katy was in Nursery Couture... as I made my weekly prego visit... she had brought in the start of her creation of one of her child's birthday invitations... it was to be packaged in a clear plastic box with candy inside, many around were teasing her of this idea.... to me, it was the first time my mind did it's first.... CLICK.... Many of those close to me love to say my mind is always turning... I just can't resist a moment to stop and appreciate great design!

If you haven't had a chance to read the success story of Katy - you definitely need to, such an inspiration!

To celebrate the moment I am in the midst of remodeling my office and left my favorite touches for last.. the custom wallart, here is a freebie of a 4x6 inch from my place to create to yours!

I am just loving how our latest Sesame Street inspired party turned out for one of Modern Bebe's favorite clients, Ginny and little Ms. Brooklynn!

The fun mix of pink makes me have that urge for a little girl ♥

Wednesday sure feels like Monday!

Well it's an exciting day today, though I feel like I'm dragging like it's a Monday!
My youngest niece was brought into this world, a healthy beautiful baby girl and I just cannot wait to create for her!

I stumbled upon this site years ago before I first became a mom and would stare at all of the gorgeous nursery creations and great mommy and baby finds! A close friend suggested I put my first party package on the site that later featured on Project Nursery's blog. This was a pivotal moment, as I was praying about to going back to work full-time as a Special Needs teacher or pursuing my new found passion in Design.. prayers were answered on that very day - God is GOOD! What a busy summer for Modern Bebe! There was excitement in our household this week for the start of Mother's Day Out, this is the first year that both of my boys are attending and they are eager beavers about learning so it is great to be working some normal hours a few days a week.

Modern Bebe had a GREAT summer full of fun new projects from weddings, to new custom birthday party packages to freelance work for local businesses and most recently an opportunity to create for a private shopping party for Julian Gold!

I pretty much hit the ground running from start to finish of a personal party then it's back to work so now that my oldest son's party is days away I have to scrounge up the time to post about my youngest son's birthday celebration a few months back.

I'd have to say the big inspiration of this theme was Coen's great hair! We had to play it up in the theme and a Nautical celebration seemed just perfect!

The starting focal point of the party was a custom felt banner made by Taffy Wishes at Etsy.com! We were loaned a vintage boat to ice the beverages, the bright colors of tangerine and turquoise with a mix of gold (for Coen's love of Goldfish) were inspired by this season's hot trend. New products such as water bottle labels, treat boxes, favor tag stickers and custom signage for centerpieces are now available at my Etsy shop!

Of course I would decide to re-do the playroom right at the busiest time of year with Modern Bebe and Coen's party in a few days... BUT had to share how much I love this new decal purchased from Decal Happy on Etsy. Kristi was a doll to work with, I'd had this vision for the room to have slight hints of baseball with a modern twist and she knew just how to capture my vision and run with it! The bookshelf was a great idea share on Project Nursery.

Okay... Just one post while on Vacay

I can leave the party planning at home but it seems to always find me. I was beyond tickled to be at my neiece's third birthday celebration in Washington for her Sweet Shoppe Hello Kitty bash!
